Shipping, Federagenti fear war and supply chain crisis

Despite sea freights decreased down to 10 thousands dollars per 40 ft. containers, Federagenti felt worried for the supply chain next future.

Mr. Alessandro Santi, as president of  Federagenti – Italian organization representing shipping lines and their local agents – spoke to the press about the serious situation of the main “red zones” on the seas. He spoke about how these “red zones” (+25% per International Underwriting AssociationI) could affect the supply chain, mentioning Russia-Ucraine war and the Black Sea situation, China-Taiwan crisis, Bab-El-Mandeb, Ashdod, etc.

The “red zones” are creating right now a deep luck of some very important materials and this situation is rising up the inflaction: in the near future there will be a sea supply chain disruption, deeper than the prevoious one. So, how to solve this unlucky situation? Mr. Santi said Italy should “become an efficient check point and not a bottleneck” and this initiative could give to Italy itself an huge advantage over the other europeans Countries.
