Sea-Intelligence: shippers lost 10 billions USD due to supply chain disruption
Sea-Intelligence estimated that shippers have lost 10 billions USD due to the inefficiency of the supply chain.
Danish consultancy company Sea-Intelligence publishs every month an outlook which estimates the schedule reliability of the shipping lines. Starting from this, Sea-Intelligence added in its methodology numbers and path on deep-sea, removing the regional routings. Then, calculating by a TEU-day index, Sea-Intelligence estimated that shippers have lost 10 USD billions due to congestions at departing ports, longest transit time in transhipment ports (as Singapore, Athens/Pireus, Gioia Tauro), containership delay and queue at arriving ports.
