Sea-Intelligence on schedule reliability: on april 2022 it decreases to 34,4%
Consultancy organization Sea-Intelligence published the Global Liner Performance (GLP) report about April 2022. It tells containerships schedule reliability have fallen again to 34,4%.
January 2022 hit the lowest reliability of all times: in fact, averagely only 30,9% of the main shipping lines’ containerships arrived on time at the destination ports. Then, Febraury and March 2022 signed better percentages with 34,4% and 35,9%. Nevertheless, the good path stopped on April 2022, when sea schedule reliability hit 34,6.
Among the reasons why on April 2022 schedule reliability decreased there are the war moved by Russian in Ukraine and the “Zero-Covid” policy by China. On the first side, shipment toward Russia are now stopped by European Union, USA and few other countries. On the other side, China lockdowned Shanghai (main port in the World) for more than 60 days and just re-opened it on First June.
Meanwhile, although the schedule reliability decreased, the average days delay is dropped from 7,26 to 6,41 days.
