Barbarini & Foglia was founded in 1978 by Enzo Barbarini and Bruno Foglia, and over time it evolved from a Customs Brokerage Agency to a company capable of operating globally in international freight orwarding international transport and logistics, without losing its family business approach but consolidating itself as a solid, modern and reliable partner.
Here are some milestones of our continuous and constant growth over time:
1978 Barbarini & Foglia was established with offices at Fiumicino – Rome Airport
1993 opening of the La Spezia office
1998 opening of the Vizzola Ticino (Varese) office, near the Malpensa airport – with 3500 square meters partly used as a customs and VAT tax area
2000 opening of the Ponte Galeria – Rome offices where we move the company’s headquarters. This office features 4,500 square meters of warehouses, partly used as a customs and VAT tax area
2002 Barbarini & Foglia becomes part of the prestigious WIN network
2005 opening of the Tessera (Venice) office, located near the Marco Polo Airport in Venice
2008 opening of the office in Collesalvetti (Livorno) with about 15,000 square meters of warehouses, partly used as a customs and VAT tax area
2009 Barbarini & Foglia takes over Multifreight (HK) Ltd in Hong Kong
2010 Barbarini & Foglia takes over Multifreight (China) Ltd in Shanghai
2013 Barbarini & Foglia obtain AEO certification
2014 opening of the Bari office
2018 opening of the Carpi (Modena) office
Currently the Barbarini e Foglia group has a staff of over 110 people. A “core” group which has handed down work culture and customer dedication have been gradually integrated with new professional figures enriching the whole staff’s know-how and skills.
